The following summary covers both parts of "Fighting Cage", which was the last episode of "Renegade"'s first season: Reno is in for a shock when he learns that his older brother, whom he considered dead for 17 years, is actually alive and fighting in illegal (and sometimes lethal) gladiator-style tournaments, run by corrupt retired Army guys. Reno infiltrates their organization, but when he gets to his brother he discovers that he has no memory of him or of his life before the accident that supposedly killed him 17 years ago. Now he must make him remember before it's too late. If nothing else, you have to admit that the screenwriters managed to come up with enough different ideas to keep this first season interesting, here going for both the "lost relative" and the "fighting tournament" angles. Kathleen Kinmont also gets into the action more than before, and there is a supporting roster of reliable veterans (Charles Napier, Martin Kove) and buff, beautiful women (Marjean Holden, and a couple of female stars from the "American Gladiators" TV show). Branscombe Richmond adds a few moments of amusement. (**1/2)
