The united Methodist church where Rocky delivers the eulogy for T.T. Flowers is the same church used where they had the (faked) funeral service for Angel in Chicken Little Is a Little Chicken (1975).
Stuart Margolin (Angel) does not appear in the episode, but leaves a memorable message on Jim's answering machine during the show's opening titles.
There is no such medical diagnosis as 'chronic brain syndrome', as Dr. Crist mentions, however dosing a person with dimethyl lysergic acid (or, as it's commonly known; 'acid') can cause the appearance of mental deficiency, and in several cases, people who have taken massive quantities (not under medical supervision) have suffered permanent psychosis.
Dr. Crist's car (the one with the blaring horn that can't be stopped) is a Ferrari Dino 246.
T.T. stands for Thomas Tyler.
