One of - if not the only time - the reception area of Beth Davenport's law firm is seen.
One of the few times the opening answering machine message gag is unidentified. The caller is a confused elderly man, who repeatedly says, 'hello,' possibly not even realising it's a machine, and not a person (answering machines had not yet become ubiquitous). The gag - being an unidentified elderly, confused man - may be referencing the episode's plot, in which Rocky's friend, T.T. Flowers, has been sent to an old-people's hospital/home, where - as part of the plot's scheme - nefarious people are trying to have him declared 'unfit.'
The beautiful home on which in this episode is Kathy and 'Sherm's' residence is used quite often, the last time was in The Deep Blue Sleep (1975), when it was Bob Coleman's (Robert Webber).
This episode marks the third time since the show's original pilot in which Rockford's Firebird has been completely destroyed. Enter Firebird #4 on the next episode.
