An OK episode, first of many where one or more of the rookies are held hostage. It is helped that Fenner is played by Roddy McDowall, former child star and now playing many villains on TV and film. Vincent Gardenia plays Saul, this show aired only 2 days after his guest role on All In The Family, the classic episode The Bunkers And The Swingers. One of the more memorable scenes is when Jill goes to the jail to plead with Saul to help Mike. She has to walk past a bunch of screaming, slobbering inmates, one of them is played by veteran character actor Emile Meyer (he appeared in such classics as Shane and Paths Of Glory.)
