This ep of "Laugh-In" was most interesting for seeing Sally Field dance between two other women who had/will have an association with Burt Reynolds-Judy Carne and Goldie Hawn

Well, after plugging him the last few shows, Dick Martin finally meets John Wayne! Ruth Buzzi makes a welcome return especially when playing a streetwalker whose arm is stuck above her even as she's moving! Main guests are Terry-Thomas and Sally Field who was on the TV series "The Flying Nun" at the time. One of her skits has her accepting an Oscar but during this period, she only made a few movies and certainly not one that would get her that award! During the production number with the other "Laugh-In" girls that intro and outro the news of the present, past, and future, she appears with two who, like her, would have an association with Burt Reynolds: Judy Carne who was previously married to him and Goldie Hawn who would co-star with him in Best Friends long after Burt and Sally broke up after about four movies. Mr. Wayne appears periodically in short asides throughout the ep. To quote Arte Johnson's Wolfgang character, this "Laugh-In" ep was "very interesting" and nothing more.
