"Sanford and Son" My Kingdom for a Horse (TV Episode 1974) Poster

Demond Wilson: Lamont Sanford

Quotes

  • Fred G. Sanford : I got something special to tell you, son. Come sit down.

Lamont Sanford : I don't wanna sit down and talk, Pop. I'm hungry. I've been out all day. I need food.

[At that, he enters the kitchen before Fred could say anything else. Inside the kitchen, the horse is standing there, but Lamont appears to completely ignore it, grabbing bread, cheese, and lunch meat out of the fridge, slapping together a sandwich on the table, putting the food back, and grabbing a beer. He then walks back out to the living room, sits down on the sofa, pops open the beer, and goes to take a bite of his sandwich, but before he does, he turns to Fred]

Lamont Sanford : Pop, what's that horse doing in the kitchen?

Fred G. Sanford : How should I know? You saw him last.

  • Lamont Sanford : [Demanding an explanation for the horse in the kitchen]  Pop, I want an answer!

    Fred G. Sanford : Well, that's simple.

    Lamont Sanford : I don't want a lie.

Fred G. Sanford : That makes it harder.

  • Lamont Sanford : You put my blanket on a horse?

Fred G. Sanford : You can get it back tonight.

Lamont Sanford : Well, what about the smell?

Fred G. Sanford : He didn't seem to mind it.
