- Gab makes a move on her boss to test him, of which he doesn't reciprocate "her feelings" but it does make her embarrassed. Evan hooks up with the publisher again and they double-date with Alex and Rex, however things don't go according to plan when Alex and Evan go off into their own tangent and Evan rejects the publisher's offer of sex even though eh wants it...just from Alex not her. Rex finally opens his eyes and realises that Alex and Evan were sort of hooked up but she says she loves him even though it's quite obvious she loves Evan as well.

Evan offers a male perspective which leads Gabrielle stumbling into an embarrassing gaffe. Will warns Nathan that his six month anniversary with Kelly is fast approaching. Nathan makes such a dutiful effort to mark the occasion that Kelly works out he had to be reminded. She wonders whether he's doing it out of duty rather than passion. Evan remains deeply unsettled by the success of Rex and Alex relationship. He bravely decides to reenter the world of dating. Even though he's already been turned down he resorts to begging Lauren.They go out to a swirl of events and Evan discovers he's forgotten how to have fun. It feels like the return of the old Evan, party guy. But when he takes Lauren back home, there's an attack of conscience.
