The mayor's daughter's been kidnapped and her best hope is an NRA poster child with a badge. You can almost hear the comedy writing itself, but that's doing the writers a disservicce. Sledge Hammer is extremely likable, gleefully putting everyone around him in peril with outsized ordnance. David Rasche is an ideal fit for this role (and it's evident he loves this gig), he's got got great supporting players, and the pilot benefits from a John Vernon guest shot. Seriously, what's not to love? The humor's great, the one-liners flow and it's the perfect breezy comedy that'll have you returning next week.
