The most relatable SB episode
To me, Big Pink Loser is the most relatable SpongeBob episode.
When I left high school and my internship job, I was left with a doubt: what if I don't get another job, given that I have little to no experience? Anxiety about it came to me and I had little to no sleep for an entire week. My remedies were my family's support and SpongeBob. SpongeBob provided laughs in these obscure times. When I rewatched Big Pink Loser, it spoke to me personally.
I too was afraid of accomplishing nothing in life, like Patrick was afraid of not getting an award. At the end of the episode, even Patrick of all people got an award and the ending quote touched me deeply: "excellency can be found even under a rock". This inspired me to keep trying.
Here I am, four months later, with a decent job as a bank attendant, still laughing my ass off to the same episode of SpongeBob.
I'm fine :)
