When they are at the bottom of a Titan missile silo just before launch, there is a short shrieking sound. The Titan used liquid fuel, and it actually did make this sound just before launch when the turbine fuel pump was spun up.

In this episode, O'Neill uses James T. Kirk of the Starship Enterprise as an alias while being interrogated. Star Trek (1966) aired its final episode in 1969, the same year this episode was set in. Moments later, he says that his name is Luke Skywalker. As Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope (1977) wasn't released until 8 years later it was a better alias in this instance than Kirk.
