- Vice President Kinsey briefs Dr. Weir on the Stargate program before her meeting with the president. SG teams 1, 3, and 5 go off-world to attempt the extraction of a newly found Ancient repository device. Upon arriving at the location of the device, SG-1 comes under fire from Goa'uld ships. With no other way to disallow Anubis from claiming the knowledge for himself, Jack submits himself to the dangerous device.—trekkie4christ
- Daniel thinks he may have found the location of another Ancients' library and SG-1 set off to investigate. They know how to download the information - into a human mind - but are also aware that when O'Neill did this once before, he nearly died and was saved only by the Asgard. Nonetheless he steps up again knowing the consequences. The effect of downloading the library will take a few days to show effects and members of the team visit him at home along with General Hammond who has important news for them: he's been relieved of command. Back in Washington, the President has recruited Dr. Elizabeth Weir, a noted international negotiator, to run SGC. Vice President Kinsey let's her know that he expects her to take orders from him. Weir arrives at the SGC with news that all off-world activity is shut down for 3 months while the program is reviewed. This just as Master Bra'tac arrives to tell them Anubis will be attacking the Earth in three days time.—garykmcd
- In Washington, the inexperienced Dr. Elizabeth Weir is assigned by the American President to be the substitute for General Hammond. Meanwhile, SG-1, 3 and 5 head to P3X-439 where SG-2 found a repository of knowledge that may reveal the location of the Lost City. They are attacked by Anubis' forces, and O'Neill decides to put his head in the repository and acquire the Ancient's knowledge. They return to the SGC with the unconscious O'Neill that is slowly obliterated by the Ancient's knowledge. O'Neill takes the weekend off, but soon his friends, including General Hammond, arrive at his home to visit him and learn that Hammond has been relieved of command of the SGC that will now report to Dr. Weir. The next week, Master Bra'tac informs SGC that Anubis will attack Earth within three days. Bra'tac and Teal'c go to Chulak to seek help for the Earthlings.—Claudio Carvalho, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil
- While the new US President appoints international diplomat Dr. Weir as General Hammond's successor in command of SGC (Vice President Kinsey's candidate, who he expects to serve his agenda), SG-1 and two other teams check out Daniel's theory for the location of an Ancients' library containing all their priceless knowledge, including the location of the Lost City, on P3X-439. Attacked by Anubis' Jaffa, Jack hastily volunteers his own brain as 'most replaceable' to download the knowledge. Without a new cure or access to Asgard help, he may well suffer an irreversible brain breakdown, hence prepares his affairs. Meanwhile, Weir arrives to try to make sense of her utterly surprising mission, finding open-minded Daniel most helpful, unlike the mistrusting military. The next week, Master Bra'tac comes to warn that Anubis will attack Earth within three days, then seeks help on Chulak.—KGF Vissers
