Heimdall is researching a means to reverse the degradation process in his race caused by successive cloning, studying the preserved corpse of an original Asgard. - Anubis's lieutenant Osiris leads an intrusion to a protected planet violating the treaty with the Asgard, and when Thor confronts them aboard the only available starship -given the ongoing replicators war- demonstrates Anubis's new technology provides immune shields and a beam strong enough to eliminate the Asgard ship. New Asgard commander Freyr asks help from SGC, eager as the protection of earth is also compromised, to go rescue Asgard scientist Heimdall from a secret lab in the besieged planer, but he tells them Thor survived and is bound to be tortured for the secret technology, so leaving Carter at the controls, Jack and Teal'c risk everything to rescue Thor from cloaked Anubis, who arrived in person with a novel brain implant.—KGF Vissers
