- SG-1 investigate a seemingly idyllic and subtly advanced human colony sheltered inside an energy dome on an otherwise inhospitable planet.
- On a planet with an extremely toxic atmosphere, there exists a bubble within which exists a livable atmosphere. Inside the bubble lies a seemingly less advanced society of humans. They reveal to SG-1 that they once were highly industrialized and poisoned the air. They voluntarily simplified their lives and constructed the barrier to keep out the bad air. They also show SG-1 their "link", a neural interface that gives them access to all their computer records, including history, science, etc. When one of the citizens disappears in the night and the entire population forgets she existed, SG-1 begins to think things are not what they appear to be.—trekkie4christ
- A remote investigation of P3X-289 reveals a toxic atmosphere and a dome inside of which is a idyllic paradise. The inhabitants are survivors of industrial growth which poisoned the air and have lived under the protective dome for over 400 years. All of them have a neural link to a vast database of the history of their science, history and culture. For all that the locals are very welcoming, it soon becomes clear that something wrong and Sam suggests the link may be exercising control. From Sam's analysis, the dome is losing power and is bound to fail. Daniel's search of the archives reveals that the population is much smaller than it was when the dome was first created. Getting someone to believe them is the challenge.—garykmcd
- When the SGC sends the MALP to an inhospitable toxic planet, they discover a dome and inside a paradisaical environment. The intrigued SG-1 travels to the planet wearing special clothing and breathing apparatuses and when they cross the wall of the dome, they find a garden with breathable atmosphere. Soon they contact a hospitable society that welcomes them and explain that they were an industrialized society that had polluted their environment. Now a computer controls their environment in the dome and the Engineer Pallan offers to show their technology to Sam while his wife shows their library to Daniel. But soon the SG-1 finds that something is wrong with the society and their dome.—Claudio Carvalho, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil
- The MALP robot sent to a seemingly no longer inhabitable planet seems to disappear into a void. SG-1 finds it penetrated the cloak surrounding an idyllic bubble like an invisible dome. The inhabitants are friendly and seem to want nothing in exchange for their know-how. Carter is fascinated by the dome technology, but soon finds even engineer in charge Pallan ignorant about its worrisome reality of shrinking performance. Jack and Tealc learn from their host Kendrick's about the world without ambition, except kid son Nevin to explore the world, well universe, like Jack. The 'link' technology, sort of a brain-connected Intranet, overtook all intellectual and technical needs, but it's central computer totally censures their minds and memories, so Daniel searches for the truth in the last last remaining paper records, which even local archivist Evalla no longer consults. The combined conclusion is a shrinking dome spells doom, which the Link prevents acknowledging.—KGF Vissers
