- Sam's father hopes that SG-1 can help find and neutralize Seth, an Ancient Goa'uld who the Tok'Ra believe may still be hiding on Earth after thousands of years.
- Stargate Command is visited by General Jacob Carter on a mission - actually requested by his symbiote Selmak, who wants him to deal with his long-repressed rift with Sam's brother Mark - to ask SG-1's help in the hunt for the sole system-lord the Tok'ra never tracked down, Seth, the Egyptian god of chaos and total evil, who plausibly never left earth but hides as Ra put a high price on his head. Daniel finds a plausible series of Seth-cults, each ending in a blood-bath for followers, the latest being outside Seattle, led by Seth Fargo. Jacob and SG-1 arrange to take over the case jurisdiction from the ATF by presidential intervention. As Daniel predicts, they find escape tunnels and get in, but are awaited and disarmed, to be exposed to nish'ta, a powerful biological submission drug, and when Seth senses Jolinar's traces, destined for elimination.—KGF Vissers
- Jacob/Selmac visits Earth saying the Tok'ra believe that the Goa'uld Seth is hiding on Earth. Jackson's research indicates that Seth is passing as a religious cult leader. SG-1 attempts to capture or kill him without falling under his control.—Anonymous
- Sam Carter's father, Jacob/Selmak, returns to Earth seeking Stargate Command's assistance. The Tok'ra have been tracing all of the major Goa'uld and realize there is one, Seth, that cannot be accounted for. They believe that Seth may never have left Earth and with a regeneration sarcophagus could easily have survived thousands of years. Daniel Jackson finds historical records that ring eerily similar to a Goa'uld. In the present day, there have been news reports of a cult leader who is able to make his eyes glow. When SG-1 gets to to the sect's compound, they find that Federal agents are preparing to launch a major raid. O'Neill soon gets command of the operation.—garykmcd
- General Jacob Carter comes to the SGC following the request of Selmak to seek out the evil god of chaos, Seth, that vanished centuries ago in Egypt. Selmak also wants Jacob to resolve his relationship with his estranged son, Mark. Daniel tracks Seth down to the present day and discovers that he might be the leader of a cult in Seattle. When Jacob and the SG-1 arrive at the spot, they meet Jason Levison, who is the father of a follower, Tommy, and confirms their thoughts about Seth. Soon, the ATF interferes with their investigation, but the president of the USA assigns the SG-1 and Jacob in command of the operation. Now the SG-1 and Jacob need to plan how to avoid casualties in their action and how to face the drug nish'ta that Seth uses to control his worshipers.—Claudio Carvalho, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil
