- In exchange for new tech for the SGC, Warrick Finn asks for their help to win a dangerous spaceship competition.
- The captain of the Serrakin prisoner transport ship Sebrus seeks Major Carter's help in winning a race and offers in exchange full access to their ion engine technology. He further explains that it is not through official channels and that they will only learn what they pick up by helping him tune up his ship. Sam agrees to help and insists upon running the race with him. However, the competition for this race is steep and there is no telling whether the team will be able to surpass their rivals.—trekkie4christ
- SGC is approached by Warrick Finn who offers them the opportunity to learn more about their ion propulsion technology. There's only one catch: they must help him win a major race by providing a Naquadah generator. He warns them that the race itself is quite dangerous as there are no rules. The prize is a lucrative one year contract with a major technology firm. Sam is keen to learn as much as she can about their propulsion technology but is very much looking forward to the race itself. Warrick's brother Eamon isn't sure Sam is a good choice for a co-pilot but she proves quite capable as one of the more ruthless competitors sabotages Warrick's ship.—garykmcd
- Warrick visits the SGC and offers access to the ion engine technology to General Hammond. In return, he wants to borrow the Naquadah generator to win a space race on his planet. - In order to gain alien propulsion technology -albeit informally- general Hammond allows Sam to accept an invitation from Warrick Finn to help as chief engineer prepare his spaceship, integrating a Naquadah generator, and man it on his planet's annual space race 'the Loop', organized by an almost almighty business conglomerate which offers a precious contract as prize, where many losers perish. The competition is ruthless, and Teal'c must find out with Finn's brother Eamon who sabotages them, and others.—KGF Vissers
