- The Stargate base is put in deadly peril when it is contaminated with a dangerous infection which causes its victims to become mindlessly animalistic brutes.
- SG-1 visits a nameless planet which fascinates Daniel as a casus of the "Broca divide", the cohabitation of stone- and bronze-age people: the Touched, aggressive cavemen, and the Untouched, a Minoian urban civilization, but with a twist: it's one population. A disease can turn anyone into one of the Untouched, who is then banished for life, to prevent contagion, even the king's daughter. Dr. Jackson's frustration when Jack decides to return to Earth because no Goa'uld threat is found, won't be repeated as the President has added scientific research to the priority objectives; but in this case they didn't leave fast enough: very soon members of the team develop symptoms of reversal to an animal state, infecting others on the base. General Hammond is forced to have the whole mountain quarantined. As both Teal'c and Daniel are found to be immune, they return to get a blood sample from the Untouched, while Dr. Fraiser searches frantically for an explanation and cure.—KGF Vissers
- Continuing their search for the Goa'uld and their missing friends, the SG-1 team travels to a planet that seems to have remnants of ancient Minoan culture. They actually find that there are two distinct groups living on the planet. One is well educated and cultured while the second is barbaric, apparently a lower form of human that has not yet fully evolved. When they return to base, Sam Carter and Jack O'Neill begin to devolve into the type of beings they saw on the planet. While Dr. Janet Fraiser tries to isolate what is clearly a virus of some kind, Teal'c and Jackson return to the planet to get a blood sample to assist in her research. Only Teal'c returns however, Jackson having succumbed to the disease.—garykmcd
- Colonel O'Neill, Sam, Daniel and Teal'c go to a planet where people previous to the Stone Age live in the dark side and Bronze Age people live in the sunny side. Soon they learn that the Touched are an aggressive people while the Untouched are peaceful. Out of the blue, the daughter of the Untouched king is in observation since she had just had contact with the Touched. Further, the Goa'uld have passed by the planet many years ago. O'Neill decides to return to Earth and soon they discover that they are infected by a strange disease and contaminating the others on the base. However, Teal'c, Daniel and Dr. Janet Fraiser are immune and General Hammond orders to seal the mountain and leave the base in quarantine. Teal'c and Daniel return to the planet to get a blood sample from the Untouched so that Dr. Frasier may research a cure. But when they arrive, Daniel is abducted by the Touched and Teal'c does not have support from the Untouched. Will Dr. Frasier find the cure for the infection?—Claudio Carvalho, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil
