I'm reviewing this episode because it has Joan Staley in it. Joan was born in MInneapolis and I was born in MInneapolis. I can't think of a better reason to review this episode. Joan was great in The Ghost And Mr. Chicken.

It was my birthday this month. This episode was broadcast four days after my birth. There are two birthdays in this episode with Stoney and Kelly celebrating their birthdays. Happy Birthday to us!

This episode features a few songs from the American song book in it. I would love to go to a club like Kelly's Place and hear that kind of music as well as see a singer sing into a cool looking microphone. But time marches on and tastes change. No more American song book or even a night club with a singer for entertainment.

I really liked Conrad Hall's camera work in all the episodes but I'd like to make note of it out in this episode. The nightclub scenes are appropriately moody and the horse riding scene with Stoney and Kelly is beautiful with the sun glowing off the top of their heads. This episode looks like a movie and it is easy to see how Hall would go on to much acclaim in feature films.

Pretty much every episode mentions Stormy being from Mission Ridge, South Dakota. This episode has two mentions.
