- Team Knight Rider must stop the Reverend Ransom from using his seismic weapon to destroy Las Vegas.
- A TV evangelist (Reverend Ransom: Rod McCary) predicts an earthquake will hit the northwest corner of Arizona. Just as soon as he finishes, a quake happens almost destroys a trail home owned by Bobby Shane and Wanda (Mack Dryden, Mary Boque) who faithfully watch his show. Trek and Kyle visit the epicenter. The odds of this happening in this part of Arizona are extremely rare. Trek takes some geologic measurements and is twitchy when Kyle asks him about them. He also consults with a local Engineer (Stu Charno) who is positive there has been no drilling as this is Native American land. Duke visits Rev. Ransom's "Kingdom of the Chosen". The guard wont let Duke is so Duke sneaks in. Jenny and Erica go to visit Dr. Bryant (Peter Lavin), a CalTech seismologist, who is also baffled. He tells Jenny that he did detect an unusual "pre-echo" before the quake. After the team reviews all of the data, Trek determines that the reverend did not predict the quake; he caused it. Trek seems to be very disturbed and distracted.
Duke discovers the overly extravagant campus is centered around a giant pyramid. He is attacked by guards as he snoops around. Ransom stops the attack as this is holy ground. Trek gives a history lessonone of the lessons is that Nikola Tesla was working on was a seismic weapon. Dante finds out that about ten years ago Professor Jackson Roykirk (William Christopher) published a paper outlining a theoretic design for a seismic weapon (based on Teslas work). Roykirk just happens to be part of Ransoms team. Duke is being escorted off the campus by two guards that do not share Ransoms sentimentsthey do want to hurt him. Beast comes to Dukes rescue. It turns out that Roykirk tutored a boy genius at MITTrek. Trek joins Ransoms group. Ransom predicts another earthquakethe area around the AFB where SkyOne is parked. Erica is trapped by a fallen beam. Clayton is upset about the quake as it ruined his soufflé.
The true author of the seismic weapon was actually TrekRoykirk was just the advisor. Jenny thinks that maybe the reason Trek was so twitchy about the quake is that he doesnt want the machine destroyed. Trek confronts Ransom about his earthquake machine. Ransom confiscates Treks watchno personal possessions allowed. Ransom was expecting Trek and Roykirk enters the office. The team finds out that a special isotope is needed to power the machine. The isotope wasnt available ten years agoit was only discovered recently. There are only two companies that process the isotope and one has been broken into recently. And guess what was stolen? Roykirk thinks Trek would be proud that his idea has actually materializedbut Trek is disgusted as it is being used to hurt people. The second company is being robbed as Jenny as she reaches it. Jenny loses them so now it is Kyles turn to try to stop them. Just as Dante is about to blast the van, Trek signals them that he is in the van and he has everything under control. But he really isnt in the van, just his watch. The team discovers Ransoms goal is to destroy Las Vegas. While fiddling with the controls, Trek changed the epicenter to the machines locationnot Las Vegas. He destroyed his machine to save peoples lives. Guard: Kenneth Bell, Scott the mechanic: Michael Lexx, Elder: Pam Kosh, Cal Tech #1: Robert Alan Beauth, Cal Tech #2: Larry Braman, Strange Woman: Carol Wade
