Donna wants some answers from the gang about why Eric left. Jackie backs out as she says that the last thing a girl wants is to hear bad news from another girl who has it all. Kelso is out as he never faced a girl when he ditched them, and he is not going face them when somebody else ditched them. Fez is out as he does not want his personal parts damaged. The gang tricks Fez by saying that as per the law, the foreigner has to deliver the bad news. The gang tells Donna that Eric bailed as he didn't want Donna to give up her dream of seeing the world and making something of her life.

Kitty reads in his medical file that he actually has different biological father named William Barnett (Tim Reid) who lives in Milwaukee. Kitty and Red deliver the news to Hyde.
He pretends not to care as he doesn't know the person who was supposed to be his father, and he doesn't know this new person either. Kitty was hoping to go see if the new father is rich person, since she was also hoping that he would be very happy to see his son and would gift her a fur coat. Hyde eagerly accepts a 'coincidental' ride with the Forman and Jackie to his dad's fancy office in Milwaukee under the pretext of buying some honey buns. Kitty and Jackie fuss over Hyde as they wait in his father's office reception area. Just as the receptionist asks them to enter the office, Hyde chickens out and leaves without saying a word to anyone.
Midge counsels Donna to forgive Eric. Midge says that she was too hardheaded to forgive Bob and now she regrets it. At night, Donna gets a surprise visitor through the window. Eric shows up. Donna is really mad at him but agrees that they were about to make a huge mistake. Donna says they will figure it out later, and they cuddle. Fez witnesses from her closet.
