Irwin R. Shyster aka I.R.S always gets his man
kapelusznik1815 December 2015
***SPOILERS*** Case # 4982 from the files of the I.R.S has to do with tax cheat Avery Humbolt, Douglas Dumbrille, a theater owner who's been getting away with murder in not paying his share of the taxes and staying away from getting arresting and prosecuted, through loopholes in the law, for tax evasion for the last five years. It's Humbolt's employee and former lover Kay Pendelton,Claire Carleton, who finally fingers him in revenge to how he's been treating her-like dirt-over the last few years while stiffing the US Government at the same time.

With doing his job for the government tax man and, what he does moonlighting, CPA all-American guy Agent Blaine, Tom McKee, breathing down Hombolt's neck Kay informs him, risking her very life, that her boss and former lover has been cooking the books and at one point burned them to hide his not paying his fair share of taxes to the US Government.

It's Kay's clueless husband George,John Harmon, whom Humbolt had set up as the fall guy in his tax swindling operation who has no idea, in managing his business affairs, what he's doing until it's almost too late. For Humbolt not George in him realizing what Humbolt is up too and spilling the beans as well as books, that Humbolt claimed were burned in a fire, on him. As were told by "The Chief", Walter Greaza, at the conclusion of this "Federal Men" episode you can run but you can't hide the evidence of you crime when the I.R.S is out to catch you. Which the slippery as an eel Douglas Humbolt sadly found out and is now serving 2 years behind bars, as well as fined $60,000.00, in a federal prison.
