Good episode in a good series

I really like the Tremors franchise- the last couple of movies are not quite as good.but the TV series was very good if short-lived (SYFY decided it did not appeal to their audience) This episode appears to take a lot of inspiration from an old "B" movie from 1957; "The Monster that Challenged the World"; Giant mollusks are released by an earthquake in the Salton Sea- at one point some making their way thru a series of canals. The two stories definitely seem related.
