Danny and Bomba's appearance on a local radio station sparks trouble.
This is an excellent episode with great humour, drama and character moments.
The plot is cleverly written with a number of dramatic incidents. It begins with the familiar set up of characters split into different groups, exchanging humorous dialogue, before eventually, most of them come together in a pretty dramatic and ironic climax.
Robbie Coltrane and Emma Thompson are superb, particularly when they share the screen together. Richard Wilson and Katy Murphy are also on great form, generating much of the humour.
The character Vincent (and his love life) is at the centre of most of the drama, with Maurice Roëves embodying a quite unlikeable, small time, ageing rocker.
Several of the scenes transition brilliantly using the radio broadcast as a bridge and this makes the cutting from one group to another quite seamless.
The story finishes with a nicely edited musical montage that involves the band performing and some quite poignant images involving several characters.
For me it's a 9.5/10 but I round upwards.
