of Shiloh and guardians of the Granger kids, Bickford having passed away.
McIntire has come up from Texas and he's overjoyed at the prospect of a pair
of Texas friends visiting.
First there's Richard X. Slattery bringing a herd from Texas. A diseased herd that Doug McClure spots with black leg fever. They're quarantined until lab tests are done and confirmed.
Also however is John Anderson and his wife and son Virginia Gregg and Craig Hundley visiting with a herd of horses they're selling to Shiloh. Anderson is a former lawman.
Tragedy occurs when two drunken cowhands from Slattery hit Gregg with a ricochet shot. The law and the Granger family are in for it.
Acting honors go to Virginia Gregg with a most touching death scene with Jeanette Nolan. It is one of the most heartbreaking scenes ever done in the show's history.
