When, as a favor to a friend, Josh escorts a beautiful woman to a trial that could see her hang for killing her husband, her lover and a foreman, she uses all her seductive charm on him to convince him she is really innocent.
As Josh prepares to leave a town he notices an election poster for an old friend, Sheriff Sam Gladstone. He decides to visit Sam who is happy to see him but has a problem. He needs someone to transport a prisoner back for trial. With no deputies available, Josh offers to escort the prisoner back which is a three day trip each way as a friendly gesture. Before Sam gives him the job, he requests Josh accompany him to the graveyard where he shows Josh the three tombstones of the murder victims. The suspected triple murderer is almost certain to hang. What Randall didn't anticipate was the prisoner being a beautiful young woman who insists she's innocent of the three killings. Sheriff Pete Link holding the prisoner can't believe she is capable of murder himself. On the trip back Josh finds her to be a very pleasant and even helpful prisoner. She even chases down and returns his horse which ran away at one point resulting in Josh wondering if he wants to return her to face a hanging.—Anonymous
