The telecast was live from New York and sponsored by Remington electric shavers.
This telecast experimented with having each panelist walk through the backdrop curtain to introduce the other panelists and moderator, which would later become the standard opening of ''What's My Line?" However, the week following this telecast, the panel was back to being already seated when the show began and introductions were performed. In addition, on the telecast of the prior week, the walk-by of non-celebrity contestants was eliminated, but the feature was returned for this telecast. The walk-by would be permanently eliminated in the future.
Contestant Cora Sayler's occupation was supered on the screen as: ''Washes cows. This is a trick. She stumped the panel just 6 months ago.''
Guest panelist Robert Q. Lewis mentioned that copies of Arlene's trademark heart necklace were ''now on sale at chain stores all over the country.''
John Daly mentioned at the end of the telecast that Dorothy was leaving that night to cover the Dr. Sam Sheppard murder trial.
