Ventriloquist Marilyn Arnone, the first contestant, starred in her own weekly kid's TV show, on Boston's CBS-affiliate station WHDH, called 'Marilyn and Calico'. As an adult, she became a research professor and professor of practice at Syracuse University's School of Information Studies, also known as the 'iSchool'.
Hermione Gingold had premiered in the Broadway comedy 'Oh Dad, Poor Dad, Mamma's Hung You in the Closet and I'm Feelin' So Sad' at the Morosco Theatre on August 27th. The production ran for 47 performances, closing on October 05, 1963. The play was adapted into 'Oh Dad, Poor Dad, Mamma's Hung You in the Closet and I'm Feelin' So Sad (1967)'.
George Jackson, the second contestant, worked for Tetley, the largest tea company in the U.K., founded in 1837 in Yorkshire. In 1952, the company was one of the earliest enterprises to launch cross promotion, when it used Petula Clark's single "Anytime is Tea Time Now" to advertise.
