I can't understand why this episode or indeed any of the "Washington arc" episodes got other than a low marking. It was unbelievable, totally lacking in dramatic tension or character development and even the characters themselves seemed to be going through the motions. Season 3 was poor generally except for the first arc and this unsatisfactory offering was a prime example of the quality. Dull characters, dull plotline, no magic. You'd hardly believe it was written by the same people who created the brilliant and unforgettable season 1. No wonder Ken Wahl and "Wiseguy" parted company at the end of this season.
