A young girl is found in a high school science lab closet, a plastic bag over her head. Investigation reveals an ugly set of adversaries. The family has another daughter, her twin. It's a pretty decent portrayal of peer intimidation as these kids think that they have the right to gang up on other kids.

Ruth Penrose is a promising athlete who is found dead in the science lab during the school disco.
It was in a locked cupboard with a plastic bag over her head. The school caretaker finds her body. His son Danny also at school seems to be obsessed by Ruth.
It turns out that Ruth was too thin. Her father pushed her hard as an athlete.
Ruth had a twin sister Sheena but they were like chalk and cheese. Contrasting character but he sister suspects Danny is the murderer. Danny is certainly being set up and he soon disappears.
There was some nice ingredients for an interesting mystery. It could be father who wanted success at any cost, the dodgy science teacher.
Wycliffe who seems to be having issues from his own kids in this story focuses on Sheena who seems to be hiding something.
An episode that is let down when the killer confesses all to end all doubt who did it. Even the title Happy Families leaves little doubt. I felt underwhelmed by the end.
