  Pico : How long have you been walking up and down? You've already run a marathon, haven't you?

  Doortje : Since six o'clock. I felt nauseous again.

  Pico : Oh really, and you always sing when you're nauseous, right?

  Doortje : I sing 'cause I want to forget that I'm nauseous.

  Pico : Sweeten a little less. You've been eating up an entire cake shop lately. You even ate cookies in bed last night.

  Doortje : Just the one.

  Pico : Just the one - There's *just the one* left.

  [he shows her the bag of cookies] 

  Pico : Look now - The bed's full of crumbs, my back's full of red spots.

  Doortje : Sir's in good spirits again, isn't he?

  Pico : Sir wants to sleep himself out on the weekend, that's what sir wants.

  Doortje : You're going to have to seriously adjust when we have a baby, you know that?

  Pico : A baby - Who's talking about a baby now? I'm tired of those brats at school. I don't plan to be in diapers and whining at home either.

  Doortje : So you mean you don't want a child anymore?

  Pico : Yes, that's exactly what I mean. Where are my stockings? Doortje, where are my...

  Doortje : Then you've been lying to me after we got married?

  [he buttons his bathrobe] 

  Pico : Married people always make things up to each other, Doortje.

  Doortje : Do you know how deeply you hurt me now?

  Pico : Don't dramatize, huh.

  [he walks back to their living room, he finds his stockings] 

  Doortje : You just break the most important vow you've made in your life and I can't dramatize?

  [he sits on the bag of morning cakes as he puts on his stockings] 

  Pico : Doortje, your yelling gives me a headache.

  Doortje : Here you go, your headache will soon be over.

  [she throws their laundry basket over him] 

  Pico : Dora -

  Doortje : My cakes. You're an uncontrolled brute, is what you are!
