The Sherman Tank tattoo Margaret describes on Donald's arm is forgotten about in later installments.
In the later installment "Patent 4077". Margaret's engagement ring is described as being completely different from the one described here.
When Margaret is calling from her engagement party in Tokyo there is no ring on her finger.
In the mess tent at the end Margaret is holding her file chart in her right hand and her tray in her left but in the next scene when she gets up she is holding the file in her left hand and her tray in her right.
Frank's grenade would have detonated long before he puts the pin back in.
Throughout the episode, Loretta Swit's fingernails can be seen to be over an inch long. No nurse, especially a head nurse, would have fingernails that long.
It was stated that "After the Officers meeting in the mess tent, when everybody gets up to get coffee, Hawkeye quips "Everybody to the den for some TV..." . In the early 1950s, television ownership was very low at approximately10,000 units until the late 1950s and early 1960s when TV ownership exploded to 47 million. So Hawkeyes remark was literally "before it's time"."
This is completely incorrect. In 1946, TV sales in the US stood at 7,000 units sold. Four years later, in 1950, TV sales had skyrocketed to 5,000,000 units sold. That same year, 20% of all homes in the US had a TV set, so Hawkeye was hardly "ahead of his time."
After Frank says "I really got her on that one" and he's sharing a laugh with his swamp mates, the camera cuts to a rear view and Frank and B.J. and Frank is heard letting out a loud laugh at the same time he is seen taking a bite of his food.
