"Just Testing" finds Mr. Woodman finally offering Barbarino the opportunity to make up the exam that will enable him to join the other Sweathogs in the eleventh grade. They try to help him study during lunchtime, but he already has the answers scrawled all over his body. They promise to help Julie if Gabe helps Vinnie, while Woodman plans on making the test even more difficult, unless Barbarino knows the bylaws to the constitution of Costa Rica! Waiting outside the classroom like expectant parents, Kotter and the Sweathogs receive the news that Vinnie passed by a single point (Woodman: "I should have come up with a tougher test!"). One look at the easy test and Gabe realizes that the irascible vice principal may finally be turning into a nice guy!
