- TriviaBart sees a vision thirty years in the future in 2030 when Lisa is the President of the United States and she has to fix the economy after the disastrous presidency of Donald Trump. Episode writer Dan Greaney later stated he chose Trump for the reference because it "just seemed like the logical last stop before hitting bottom. It was pitched because it was consistent with the vision of America going insane." Trump was also being parodied for his first presidential run as a Reform Party candidate in 1999, which had commenced while the episode was being produced. In a case of life imitating art, Trump was elected president in 2016 and also, after Trump's presidency Kamala Harris wore a similar outfit to President Lisa's when she was sworn in on January 20, 2021.
- GoofsLisa's plate of food keeps changing between shots during the scene where she has dinner with her parents and Bart. At some points, she is eating a brown pasta or rice dish, but at others she has a plate with the same meal as her family: steak, mashed potatoes and a green vegetable. Also, Lisa wouldn't eat steak in any case because she's a vegetarian.

The Simpsons vs. Joe Biden
Bart to the Future was a okay episode. Reading all these 3 reviews on here I learned that in 2003 Entertainment Weekly called this the worst Simpsons episode ever. I could understand why they say that, but I don't agree with it. This episode does have some flaws. One is that the episode kinda drags on and it just feels a bit bland. However, this episode has lots of good jokes too. How did EW rank this as he worst episode? That really is Crazy Talk. There are soo many episodes worse than this one. Just look at this season. Without even looking I can name Kill the Alligator and Run, Saddlehorse Galactia, Pymoeilon, Missionary Impossible, etc. Some of these episodes I named aren't even bad!! And guess what? We got to see Gabbo again!!! Remember Gabbo?! Gabbo was the puppet from the finale of Season 4 called Krusty gets Kancelled who stole Krusty out of his business. 7 seasons later he's back!!! Unfortunately, that episode Krusty gets Kancelled was considered a dud and a lot of reviewers mark it is Zombie Simpsons before Zombie Simpsons. Come on it wasn't that bad!!
Anyway I want to talk to you about the famous Simpson prediction that the Simpsons made in this episode. The Trump prediction. The Simpsons are known for predicting the future, but this is probably there most famous one. Besides being named the "worst Simpsons episode ever" by Entertainment Weekly, this episode is known for predicting Trump's presidency. Believe it or not, this episode hasn't predicted anything. Yet. The Simpsons predicted Trump was going to be president in 2024-2028, because this episode is set in 2029. Right now for me it's 2024, and this is the year of the election. Trump vs. Biden. Or should I say The Simpsons vs. Joe Biden. The Simpsons never predicted Biden to be president, they predicted Trump. Well Trumpie, you got high chances, beside the Simpsons have predicted about 19 other stuff. But the Simpsons could be wrong. ( I will not be telling which party I support, because some people might not be happy if I badmouth either Biden or Trump ) All Democrats have to turn on the Simpsons and hope that they will lose the election. Wait, everyone already has turned on the Simpsons because they became worse in this season. I guess Biden has more supporters then. Anyway, later this year, it will be determined if the Simpsons won, or Biden won.
In all I give this episode a 6.8 out of 10.
