Succubus:Hell Bent
Scarecrow-8815 April 2008
Warning: Spoilers
Adam(Robert Mann), a skirt chasing 20 year old womanizing rich kid, whose dad is a very important businessman with political ties, chooses the wrong woman to mess around with when he takes a trip with pal, Jason(Jayson Blair) to Cancun for some beach, babes and booze..she is a succubus named Lilith(Natalie Denise Sperl) who pursues him to Los Angeles, showing up in places out of the blue, killing those closest to him, and making his life most miserable by interfering in his day-to-day activities. When his friends wind up dead around him, Adam becomes a suspect as his succubus story doesn't wash. Surfing the net, Adam finds that Lilith was created before Eve by God at the same time as Adam and whose kiss on the lips of men she seduces retrieves a bit of their lifeforce. Soon Lilith will be coming to kill Adam for good, and he seeks assistance from his powerful father Wallace(David Keith) and some unorthodox demon hunter named Sentinel(Gary Busey), but finds that perhaps there's no solving his problem.

Tame, underwhelming, and yawn-inducing, do not be fooled by the film's titillating premise or box cover art. Sperl lives it up as the evil succubus making Adam's life miserable, wearing sexy costumes and speaking all seductively. But, the film's protagonist is a real prick..the kind of product of wealth plucked from the condo of MTV's Real World, partying with friends, having sex with bubble-headed chicks, spending his daddy's money, and traveling in yachts and planes living the high life...and it's hard to care whether he lives or dies. Instead of worrying about his fate, I was enjoying the sight of Adam squirming. I was actually rooting for the succubus..Adam and Jason couldn't die fast enough. The violence, like the supposed lurid premise, fails to deliver as well. The low budget also produces weak special effects. A real waste of time, that could spent on a much better film, unless you want to see Busey for a few minutes in yet another eccentric part poking fun at Adam's difficult situation. Lorenzo Lamas also has a brief part as a flight instructor who Adam works for.

I've seen a lot of bad movies... here's another.
Tenchi645893 May 2008
While not totally unwatchable, this movie was definitely one of the worst movies I've seen in a while; I was reluctant to pick this up in my local Blockbuster the first few times, and I had gone through all the good movies, and so I figured that I'd check this out just because.

That was a mistake.

Let's start off with the plot: a rich playboy meets this hot chick, unwittingly not knowing that she's a demoness from the bowels of the underworld.

I'm not even sure, but the fact that Gary Busey was cast in this travesty of a film might have been a big warning to people in the store.

In any case, here's the verdict: 2 out of 10. (By the way, I'm being generous... not stupid.)

Do You Like Bad Movies?
cattiva8118123 April 2008
I am actually still watching it right now. T minus 20 and counting.

I feel the need to share my shock and awe over a this masterful piece of film. It is just truly a bad movie, with such classic lines as, "You know how I know you're lying? You're lips are moving" delivered by Kelly Hu as the detective. I like bad movies enough to keep watching them.... to see how bad they get. As far as bad movies go, I give this a 6.5. The dialogue is camp, the acting is sub par and the special effects are budget, but put together, it has all the makings of a decent B movie.

If you're unemployed, home and procrastinating getting on with your day, waste 2 hours with this gem. Or don't. It won't make a difference.

Not bad... It is what it is...
JoeB13122 April 2007
Okay, this wasn't a bad movie. It wasn't a good movie. It was what it was.

So this guy named Adam meets a Succubus named Lilith... (and to complete the Biblical analogies, is turned down by a girl named Eve in a bar.)

The "real" actors in this movie (which is to say, people you may have actually heard of) - David Keith, Kelly Hu and the always insane Gary Busey - only get a few minutes of screen time each, and I think that they only appear in this movie so that their names can be put on the cover so you think you are watching a better film than you are seeing.

Still, for a Direct to DVD movie, this movie had pretty good production values, including the jet scenes (where two pilots lost their lives during filming.) and the acting wasn't horrible. Some of the lines were funny in a dark comedy sort of way.

Lots of hot chicks...

It's bubble gum for the brain.

? Confused
remy54413 April 2007
Great cast, minus the leading man, with lots of potential utterly wasted. The actress who played Lillith, made the film palpable, due to her striking beauty. It appears there was adequate funding given the production values and the cast, yet the film lacked any sense of a true horror plot, nor was there enough nudity and sexuality to pass under the guise of an erotic horror film, which pervades the industry. The whole test pilot, jet sequences really added nothing to the story, and served only as a buffer, to make the film 90 minutes. Hopefully, David Keith will find some suitable and larger roles for his talent in the near future.

Not worth your time.
jayburks16 April 2007
Warning: Spoilers
This movie suffers from a lack of direction, it just doesn't know what it want's to be. It's one part American Pie, on part Beverly Hills 90210, one Part B-rate Vampire movie, one part Top Gun which equals 100% crap.

Gary Busey's cameo is a welcome addition and seems to help a little, but it's too brief to save this film. If his character was in the movie more perhaps it would've been a little entertaining.

I wasn't sure if I was supposed to like the lead character or not but I didn't and was hoping the Succubus would kill him off. The actor was weak and the character itself - A ultra rich, spoiled womanizing, egotistical jerk.

The eye candy wasn't that bad but for an erotic thriller (which I think this is supposed to be) it was very lacking in that department.

The jet sequences were pointless and it's really sad that two pilots lost their lives filming what was simply (as one viewer stated) fluff to make it a longer movie.

Don't think I've ever seen a movie this bad
dgci-net24 July 2007
Sometimes, we overlook the lesser-known films.

Sometimes, there's a brilliant movie lurking there. Brilliantly directed, brilliantly filmed, brilliantly acted, brilliantly scripted and scored.

We find ourselves caught up in it, totally, breathless, on the edge of our seats, waiting to see what will come next.

We become one with the characters, mesmerized, as they take us to places we've never even dreamed imagined. We become a true "captive audience". And we think about the film for days. We talk about it with friends.

But as for this little piece of drivel? It fails on all counts. Totally predictable, acted as if by a high school drama class, and with a painful score that has nothing to do with what's on the screen, this has to be the most "brilliant" time wasters I've ever seen. Likely to be enjoyed by those who smoke illegal substances and think deep thought as the munchies kick in, it's nonetheless drivel. FF and making up your own dialog doesn't help this turkey. What little plot there is never gets resolved, and the characters, ALL of them, are as likable as a bag of dog excrement left on your front porch.

IMDb doesn't offer a low enough rating. You'd be better served watching paint dry, or grass grow. Doesn't meet the standards of "Made For TV".

Worst movie of the decade
warrent-617 January 2009
This movie is the biggest piece of trash I have ever seen. Where should I start? I can't believe they actually spent money on this thing.

First off, the Succubus is just plain ugly.. has a great ass and legs but her face and those yellow teeth have got to go.

Kelly Hu was good, but had a very small part..

Lorenzo Lamas.. what a great 5 minutes he had.. instead of making this flop he and Bobby Sixkiller should be making a Renegade reunion show.

Gary Busey.. another small part.. looks and sounded like he is on the crack pipe.. smoked so much.. he is cross-eyed now.

Has a bunch of other no name actors ( or lack thereof) in this movie.

Well.. David Keith is in it.. remember him? ( OFFICER AND A GENTLEMAN) Heck.. he has bills to pay and that toupee he wears won't pay for itself.

If you are drunk or stoned this movie can be tolerated.. If you are sober.. you will shoot your TV set in the first 5 minutes of this turd.

What happens on Spring Break doesn't always stay there
lastliberal2 June 2008
Why do people watch "B" movies and just go on and on about how bad they are? You know what you are getting into when you pop the DVD in the machine.

Just watching Natalie Denise Sperl (The Graveyard) is worth the price of admission. Any dork would know that having someone like that appear at Spring Break would be a clue to run like hell. Sadly, our dork, one rich kid Adam (Robert L. Mann), just wants to get laid. Guess he didn't watch Fatal Attraction. Too bad for him.

That's OK, the lovely Kelly Hu (Cradle to the Grave, X2) has his number and will make sure his party days are over - at least with girls.

A short cameo by Gary Busey added to the fun.

Only a hint of nudity, and none from the young ones. Bummer!

CLOSED EYES AREN'T ALWAYS ASLEEP
nogodnomasters6 June 2019
Warning: Spoilers
Adam (R.L. Mann) is a rich kid and womanizer. He is hopelessly unlikable and is our protagonist. The film attempts to make his dad (David Keith) look bad for shutting him out, but Adam is the kid you would want to go play in traffic. On spring break Adam meets the "hotter than hot" Lilith (leave no cliche untouched) and they have wicked sex. Adam leaves, but Lilith (Natalie Denise Sperl) manages to find him anyway and soon the killings begin. Lorenzo Lamas appears briefly as they reenact "Top Gun." Gary Busey makes his fitting cameo near the end, the highlight of the whole film.

The film was rather a bore. Our Succubus should have been the hottest woman in the film, but didn't look as good as the bikini eye candy background or support female cast. The top stars were on the screen for only a moment and the whole "Top Gun" scene which was written to support a few cute lines, made no sense outside of that.

The film appeared like it was supposed to be a campy comedy-horror film, but for some reason writer/director Kim Bass didn't know how to make a bad film by design, instead made one by accident.

Parental Guide: F-bomb. Sex. Brief Nudity (Natalie Denise Sperl)

Entertaining low-budget horror schlock
Woodyanders29 July 2013
Warning: Spoilers
Wealthy and arrogant playboy Adam (smoothly essayed with cocky aplomb by R.L. Mann) has his hedonistic life turned upside down by fierce predatory succubus Lilith (perfectly embodied by ravishing brunette stunner Natalie Denise Sperl, who attacks her part with lip-smacking wicked relish), who follows him home from spring break in the wake of a one night stand. Writer/director Kim Bass relates the enjoyable story at a snappy pace, brings a kinetic hopped-up style to the neat premise, spruces things up with an amusing sense of brash humor, and delivers a decent sprinkling of tasty nudity and sizzling soft-core sex. Moreover, it's a total treat to see crass male pig Adam get put through the wringer by Lilith. The sound acting by the capable cast helps a lot: Jayson Blair lends sturdy support as Adam's smarmy pal Jason, Kelly Hu registers strongly as the hard-nosed Detective Pei, David Keith likewise does well as Adam's estranged CEO father Wallace, and Gary Busey has a gloriously hammy field day as loopy demon hunter Sentinel. The deliciously cheesy CGI effects at the climax are an absolute tacky hoot. Andrew Giannetta's flashy cinematography provides a cool glitzy look. Gnarly rocking soundtrack, too. Best of all, there's a plethora of smoking hot gals clad in either bikinis or their undies featured throughout. A fun flick.

Some funny bits, some tragedy
templegod210 April 2007
With two pilots dying during filming this movie seems doomed to fail from the outset, but there is enough here to make for a decent b movie flick, pretty girls one crazy succubus, and downright hilarious cameo by Gary Busey. Not too much nudity, some violence, and a quick cameo by Kelly Hu as the detective, now I wanna commit something and well... In any case the lead actress, the Succubus is attractive and downright evil. Don't let anyone tell you the plot, beyond the description. Rent it and laugh at some of the bad puns and unintentional innuendo, and enjoy the wild, if nearly implausible concept. Peace, and to the filmmakers Kudos for dedicating the film to the pilots in the credits.

even more entertaining then Hollywood horror
freakart11 December 2007
OK this is a B movie, but it was much more entertaining than catacombs, turned that movie out after 20 min (girl running around in tunnel maze - boring - film from the makers of SAW), this movie had girls, party's, nudity, violence, blood, high speed action, mystery etc. let's just say it has a bit of everything.

well the ending was kind of dumb but 60% of movie endings suck.

If you are a horror movie fan this will be like a nice romantic movie >:) it's not bad - it's interesting.

I gave it a ten because with bigger budget and some changes in the script it would rock!

All over the place- Skip it!
doctorsmoothlove9 August 2018
Warning: Spoilers
Disclaimer: I watched this movie on in a full screen edition released as part of a 4 pack by Screen Media. Try online for a widescreen version if you must rent.

So, the movie has an interesting title and movie poster. You would think that the movie would be filled with sexy scenes, some gore, and maybe some monster effects. That's why I bought it and you might want to watch, right? Well, we don't get any of that.

What special effects there are are mostly physical and female. We never see Lilith, the titular demoness, transform. She glows and changes instantly. The crew knew it looked terrible and wisely chose to limit the times we see it occur.

The film doesn't have any idea about what kind of genre it wants to be. It begins with our two spoiled bro-heroes visiting Cancun and one of them hooking up with some hottie named "Lilith." Since you've read the title, you know what Lilith is.

The first third is a series of scenes featuring the two bros trying to get laid as much as possible. It's amazing how the female writer/director goes out of her way to make these guys as obnoxious as possible and how she writes them to describe all the women as sex objects. She also shows a man kissing a dead woman's body.

Lilith begins to stalk the main bro and he appeals to his dad for help. Then, we are treated to an unearned "emotional" sequence for this character we care nothing about. If anything, I was cheering for Lilith to frighten him some more!

Finally, what payoff we receive is a confrontation between the hero and the Succubus where he spouts some cheesy dialog and then she does and then it just ends. This part plays out like a self-aware comedy horror movie, which is weird because the film isn't like that up to this point.

The movie is at least watchable. The actors are competent and the cameos are welcome. The actors are attractive. The soundtrack often seems to get in the way of some of the dialog. Not that we care. No one has anything to say. If the writer/director could have picked a tone and made less of a deliberate effort to be misogynistic and creepy this could have been recommendable. Seriously, who puts a scene where a person makes out with a corpse as a joke? That's sick!

Good story and good acting
sxyblnd200218 April 2007
Warning: Spoilers
I think for a B movie it was pretty darn good. The acting was all quite adequate. I have rented some pretty horrible movies on pay per view where the acting wasn't much better than a porno. It was exactly like it was advertised. A fun little horror flick. I bought it, expecting this. I didn't buy it expecting Shakespeare. There were a few good frights hidden here and there and enough nudity to make it plausible. I HATE the movies where all the women walk around in bikini's constantly flashing their boobs. What is the point. I have a pair of my own....I don't understand the thrill! LOL Maybe its because I am a little bit more mature than the average frat boy. The lead was a bit of a loser....but that didn't make it too hard to root for him OR the succubus. I thought "Heather" did a good job with the dying pool scene.

Decent entry, if not overtly spectacular
slayrrr66614 March 2008
Warning: Spoilers
"Succubus: Hell Bent" is an only moderately entertaining supernatural film.

**SPOILERS**

Arriving in Cancun for Spring Break, friends Adam, (Robert L. Mann) and Jason, (Jayson Blair) stumble across a fellow partier, Lilith, (Natalie Denise Sperl) along for the similar experience. Returning back to L.A., they get into trouble by his father Wallace, (David Keith) for wasting his money where they run into her again at a party, where their encounter is resumed. Confused over the continuous need to be around him, he becomes a target for the police when a friend of his turns up dead in his care. Trying to get over it only makes her more ruthless and aggressive towards tracking him down, which culminates in more stalking and the eventual deaths of more of his friends. When it eventually dawns on him that he is dealing with a supernatural entity that is attempting to steal his soul away, he finally calls upon hunter Sentinel, (Gary Busey) who tries to help him defeat the demon once and for all.

The Good News: This here has a few good parts that make it at least somewhat interesting. The fact that the several sex scenes between the two antagonists do get better with each of the times done manages to make them quite entertaining as they build up the intensity from each one. There's a sense of fun to be had from these that there's even more of a danger when it suddenly turns into a series of subtly-changing events during the course of the events. Those are the real reasons for these being so fun, as after a while it becomes obvious that it's the pattern and the anticipation which comes from them is where it gets fun. The fighter plane sequence is also pretty fun, especially the ending which manages to get incredibly exciting and interesting. The last big plus is the finale, which is good, cheesy fun. The demonic incantations, the Satanic imagery and action are all combined into a really entertaining and exciting part that just makes the film go out on a high note with the goodness it has. It's the best part of the film, and along with the other parts, makes it watchable.

The Bad News: Frankly, this one here does have a few problems with it. The fact that there's not much of a plot to it is perhaps the biggest question mark. It really just wanders around aimlessly for the first thirty minutes just simply following the two around trying and mostly succeeding in picking up women. Not only does this just make for dull and completely useless scenes of them doing it. There's nothing that can be done about it as it's the continuous going around of parties and managing to score with women, which is just irksome and rather tiring of having to see the same sort of behavior repeated again and again which isn't fun to watch either way and makes them incredibly aggravating scenes to get through. Having to watch these scenes just makes the rest of the movie feel really dull and boring. It manages to use most of it's run-time for making them just out to be these incredibly-immature scenes of them doing the same thing, and it eventually gets to the point of their being little hope for anything to come along in the film other than these, and when they get old, the film slows down to a crawl with almost nothing else. When it does get a few good moments in, the majority of these scenes are just plain terrible and dull. The other one here is that there's nothing given as to why the particular victim is chosen. There's a back-story for the being and why they're there, but nothing is given about it requiring that specific choice. Otherwise, these here are the big problems with the film.

The Final Verdict: While not entirely worthless, this one has a few more flaws than positives which makes this one that much more disposable. Only check it out if in the complete mood for these kinds of films, but this is more likely the case of only the extremely interested.

Rated R: Violence, Graphic Language, Nudity and several sex scenes
