The College Try (#3.22)
ComedyFan201024 September 2014
Warning: Spoilers
This week they all go to the colleges they were admitted at for a few days. Seth goes to Brown to convince them to admit him and get Summer back this way. He doesn't get admitted but he meets Anna who helps him out to apply to another college nearby. But Summer now thinks he is dating her. Ryan gets out of Berkley earlier because Kirsten saw Theresa at the airport with his son which he wants to see if it is his, but it isn't.

Anna! So happy to see her! She is still beautiful and I still wish Seth would be with her and not Summer. The whole solution with him going to a smaller college I don't like though, he is way too smart for it. Just seems too depressing.

3 problems surrounded by awesomeness

Warning: Spoilers
Graduation is just weeks away and Ryan, Seth, Summer and Marissa leave Newport to attend their respective pre-frosh orientations at UC Berkeley and Brown. While dropping the boys off at the airport, Kirsten is surprised to see Theresa and her all-too-familiar-looking baby boy. While visiting Brown, Seth runs into Anna on the quad and they instantly connect. Could this be the end of Summer and Seth? Meanwhile, Kirsten and Sandy attend a hospital benefit where Kirsten vents her frustrations and falls back into an old habit.

Ryan definitely fits the Berkeley student profile, if it wasn't for Marissa, once again, he would have graduated sooner at that college.

How cool was to have Erick Avari on the show? He played in "The Mummy Returns" and in "Heroes", which are some of my favorites.

Also, Matt Barr was also cool, the stalker from "One Tree Hill"...

Can't let that man be happy for 2 minutes
jknousak2 June 2022
Honestly, the writers were just determined to have Ryan be unhappy, worried, fighting, having to protect someone, having to help someone ALL THE TIME, w/ very-few breaks. They could NOT let that character be happy for even 5 minutes of an episode.

This is my first time through this series and Lord, it's only #3, but I couldn't resist getting this complaint off my chest. You know, I was a teenager once. Yeah, I had my angst moments, tough relationship moments, but they weren't NON-STOP like the characters here. Geezo peet, it's very saddening. Course, I'm viewing this in something of a binge fashion vs. Once/week, but still . . . Sheesh!
