Warning: Spoilers
Another classic case of 2021 Lily hating this episode, then 2022/2023 Lily putting it really high on her ranking. This is one of the biggest examples, as this one has a plot I originally didn't like because one of the main characters is the worst character in the show, Margo. However, now I see this plot as a hilarious experience of two idiots brawling over the girl that doesn't want them, also known as every 2000's high school romcom. I'm not doing "Cyranosaurus Rex" or "A Really Crushing Crush" for other Valentine's Day reviews due to real life stuff making me kinda busy.

I love this episode so much for two major reasons: the first one is how freaking funny this episode is. This episode contains some really memeable moments and faces with a lot of good lines that parallel a pre-movie "SBSP" episode. Speaking of which, this episode kind of feels like "Krusty Love" + "Survival of the Idiots", a combination of two of the best episodes in the show. Most of it can be described as hilarious, from their ridiculous fish fight to simpler things like Brandy's jabs at the Margo loving lunatics.

The second reason is the fact that this episode hates Margo as much as the fandom seems to. In this episode, she gets beaten up and made fun of (deservingly so). She's also just portrayed as the villain and has the attitude of "why would any of these characters care for someone as rude as her?"

It is generally just a hilarious experience. As mentioned earlier, I find their fish fight ridiculous. Ridiculously funny! I mention this again as I want to bring up how creative this scene is. It takes some inspiration from anime with the flashy backgrounds, "Sailor Moon" style close ups with the glittery eyes, and movie sizing layout. It's one of the best parts, along with the wtf faces from Brandy, Whiskers, and Ed to Margo.

Katie Rice is one of my favorite storyboard artists from this show, and since this is her first episode, I think it's safe to say she's great at what she's doing.. especially after the stuff from John Kricfalusi.

10/10.
