Saw the film at Cinequest Film Festival 2006. It is shot so well, it looks stunning. They made it on HD apparently but it looks like film. The story is really complex for a short film and so intriguing. It is shocking because of the deftly filmed and edited torture sequences and beautiful in the romantic flashbacks. The story takes place in an unidentified time and location. So it really makes you think about what is happening all over the world, everyday. We are all torturers, and we are all revolutionaries. Also I love the mentions of Satyagraha and other revolutionary ideas. The characters have really intense dilemmas that they are. I think it would be fascinating to expand the story into a feature - there are so many idea buried within. I want to know more about this "fictional" world that they live in. Really complex little film!
