FremantleMedia has raided fellow British production giant Granada for a new unscripted programming chief for its North American division. James Sunderland, executive producer of Granada in the U.K., will shift to the same position at FremantleMedia North America, which has reality series including American Idol and Gameshow Marathon to its credit. The only thing shaking in primetime on Wednesday were the fannies of the contestants on Fox's So You Think You Can Dance. Fox led the weak field for the night on the strength of its 9 p.m. original episode of Dance, which drew 10.4 million viewers and 4.2 rating/12 share in the adults 18-49 demographic, according to preliminary estimates from Nielsen Media Research. CBS' 8 p.m. summer original Game Show Marathon (6.9 million, 1.9/6) was a low-scorer for the eye network.
