Welcome to this part of my account called "Lily praises a cartoon while slowly going bonkers due to the lack of positive thought conveying", and today I have an amazing episode on the chopping board. "Curses!" is one of the greatest things in this show. This episode is very fun and has somewhat of a heartwarming feel to it, especially in the ending where it still provides a hint of comedy that doesn't ruin the moment.

Most of this episode, in its simplest form, is very silly and fun moments. In this episode, Brandy buys a cursed amulet as she is a self proclaimed "Bargain Huntress" and wanted to buy something expensive for a cheap price. In the episode, she really doesn't do much to warrant this however. If anything, I feel like if this was given to a character we aren't supposed to root for (ie Margo, Gabriella, Gaspar, etc...), then this plot would have been a little better and would let another character be in the focus to where we could potentially learn a lot more about them and be more willing to like them. The plot is also somewhat unoriginal. This show tends to make their tropes unique however, so I excuse it.

After Brandy gets the curse is when this episode reaches its highest point on the comedic spectrum. This part of the episode also gives us a lot of characters to see and interact with, which makes it more enjoyable because we are constantly getting a surprise/new scene. Margo is horrible to Brandy as always but the rest are funny and enjoyable to see.

I also especially like the portrayal of Whiskers in this episode. Not only is he funny, but he has one of his best appearances despite not being the main character of the episode. He is very supportive to Brandy and even lifts the curse off her by taking the amulet (which curses him to be cursed, only for it to leave because he's too annoying lolol). It just shows how far they have come as a duo and why it's one of my favorite and most underrated shows ever.

10/10.
