Room 222 was a groundbreaking series in its time, a serio-comic look at students in high school during a turbulent era in American history and the issues that confront them. This episode deals with an issue that is still important and at the forefront today-that of censorship. It deals with a girl named Bonnie who is sick and tired of writing boring stories for the school newspaper to please her stuffy journalism teacher. She finally boldens up and prints a story that grabs the students attention, the only problem is that it contains offensive language resulting in her getting fired from the paper and a large student protest that results. A good episode about a topic that touches us all.

Bonnie writes a story for the school newspaper with an offensive word.

A good Season 4 episode. Jane Actman played Bonnie in several episodes and this her last and best. Mr Dragen usually likes Bonnie's stories but is so shocked by this new one he fires her from the paper. Mr Kaufman convinces him to reinstate her and publish the story without that certain word. Bonnie refuses and her father threatens to sue the school.
