A wealthy gambler is found dead after apparently jumping from, or being thrown from, the side of a cruise ship. It is discovered that he had just made a huge loss that night to a young man - a sort of "gambling prodigy" whose incredible skills and confidence enable him to win big often. When suicide is ruled out, the rude, cocky guy at first seems like he might have committed or ordered a murder when his gambling buddy couldn't pay up. However, a look into his life and his part brings up a big conspiracy.
