"Whoever possesses the Omnitrix continues to be an opponent of extreme danger and inspiring brilliance." This is the first time that Ben and Vilgax met and it's through way of possession as Vilgax is recovering we begin to get adjacent to the problem at hand this one also deals with the imitate mortality of a human life in the way of Grandpa Max as he's rushed to hospital it's actually quite an emotional episode as well as one filled with action this is how you do an action series this is pure enjoyment and the writers understood what we wanted as kids and what we would continue to enjoy as adults.

A Step Closer To Vilgax

A nice little episode that served as a stepping stone to the much-bigger Vilgax plot. Rojo wasn't that compelling of a character, but I thought she looked good here. Having Max on the shelf for the rest of the episode allowed Ben & Gwen to work together, which provided us a pretty intriguing dynamic. Ben really shined in this episode with his characterization, and Gwen was a fine supporter for him.

Ben, as Fourarms, thwarts an armored car robbery by a very tough female named Joey. During the fight, some of Vilgax's new and improved drones attack and Max is injured. When Fourarms takes Max to the hospital, Joey starts messing with the drones and is converted into a powerful alien cyborg named Rojo. With these enhancements, Vilgax is able to communicate with her and convince her to work for him. When she attacks Ben at the hospital, she is thwarted once again, but Ben is left thinking that it's too dangerous for him to be around others and runs away. During their final confrontation, it turns out to be the advice of Max that helps Ben defeat her. As Upgrade, he is able to stop her, but not before receiving a disturbing message from Vilgax.
