A series bible was produced for a Captain America animated series in 1983 from Jameson Brewer for Marvel Productions but never materialized as a series.
This episode was animated by a studio called Toei Doga in Japan. It was the first cartoon of many that they would animate for "Marvel Productions," including episodes of "Spider-Man And His Amazing Friends," "Dungeons & Dragons," "G.I. Joe," and "The Transformers."
Besides the Captain America costume, other costumes seen in the window at "Stan's Costume Shop" are (from left to right): Iron Man, Black Bolt, Vision, Power Man, Phoenix, Thor and Storm.
Captain America's ears, which normally stick out of the sides of his mask, are painted blue in this incarnation, except for one scene when Spider-Man is wearing the costume and sitting in an airplane.
Stan's Costume Shop will be seen again in Spider-Man and His Amazing Friends (1981): Spider-Man: Unmasked! (1983). A similar shop, Stan's Collectibles, appears in Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse (2018) on Earth-928B.
