A mostly forgettable episode!

Drip drip, there is hole in the roof when it rains leaking all over the house. The Bundys have buckets of water enough to make music with. Al refuses to get a professional to do the job so he wants to get on the roof himself. I think this is the episode where neighbor Steve gets a job at a pet store and Marcy has a hump as an allergic reaction to an insect. Al would rather risk his life instead of paying a few dollars to get the roof fixed by a professional. It's not a particularly memorable episode. This episode was traditionally the same fare of Married with Children. I thought the episode was fine but kind of dull for the most part except for Al playing a fool for the family again. He just won't admit that there are some things that he can't do anymore.

It's a Peruvian devil gerbil, not a guinea pig or an insect!

There's a rainstorm. There's a leak in the roof. Naturally, a self-reliant, all-American man like Al isn't going to waste hard-earned money by calling a professional roofer: he's going to grab his tools, go up a ladder, and fall off the roof. Several times.

Meanwhile, Steve gets a new job as an animal handler at a pet emporium. He brings home a Peruvian devil gerbil called Scoopy which bites Marcy, causing her to develop an eye-twitch and grow a hump.

After the disappointing Christmas two-parter, this one is a lot of fun - delightfully silly, with plenty of physical comedy and lots of funny lines: "I'm the only guy who has to wake up to have a nightmare", "God, it smells like ham in here", and my favourite "Hey mom, I broke my reception glasses."
