Whether as a witch or an Army wife, Catherine Bell has been doing a lot of television business lately.
The "Jag" veteran essentially has been playing two series roles for several years, if one takes her recurring part as the seemingly magical Cassie in Hallmark Channel's "Good Witch" TV movies into consideration along with Denise Sherwood, the sometimes brutally realistic character she plays weekly when the Lifetime drama "Army Wives" is in season.
"The Good Witch's Charm" -- the fifth entry in the franchise -- makes its Hallmark debut Saturday, Oct. 27, immediately after a marathon of the four earlier films. Business owner, small-town mayor, stepmom and new biological mom Cassie never has been proven to be an actual sorceress, but that confirmation might be closer as a reporter's (Geordie Johnson) interview with her reveals a strange phenomenon and goes viral ... bringing an unwanted form of attention to Cassie and her locale.

Almost two weeks following its September 30th season finale, Haven has been renewed for a third season by Syfy. The Friday night drama put up solid, steady ratings this past season and has been a nice companion piece to WWE Smackdown.
Based on the Stephen King novel The Colorado Kid, Haven follows FBI agent Audrey Parker as she investigates a small town in Maine that's dealing with a variety of supernatural afflictions known as The Troubles. The deeper she goes into the town's mysteries, the more she realizes that there may be a reason she was sent to Haven. The show stars Emily Rose (John from Cincinnati), Lucas Bryant (M.V.P.), Eric Balfour (The Texas Chainsaw Massacre), Richard Donat (The Weight of Water), and Stephen McHattie (300).
Haven returns December 6th for a stand-alone Christmas episode titled "Silent Night", with its third season premiering summer 2012. Syfy has recently granted renewals to Warehouse 13 and Alphas,...

Emily Rose in Haven Emily Rose stars in Haven, a supernatural drama television series loosely based on the Stephen King novel The Colorado Kid which co-stars Eric Balfour (The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, 24, Skyline) & Lucas Bryant (M.V.P., Faux Baby). Emily Rose is Audrey Parker – an FBI agent who ends up in Haven, Maine chasing an escaped prisoner, and encounters Haven's supernatural Troubles in the process. After successfully resolving a situation involving a Troubled person she is invited to stay by Chief Wuornos, both for her ability to "see what's right in front of [her]" and her sympathetic method of dealing with those afflicted by The Troubles. Audrey initially is "on loan" to Haven's Police Department, but eventually quits the FBI in order to take a permanent job with Haven Pd and continue helping the town in dealing with The Troubles. Here's what Emily had to say about working on Haven to date.

ABC, an American TV network, and Global, a Canadian TV network, both announced ([1] and [2]) that they will simulcast the Canadian TV series Rookie Blue (formerly known as Copper). In fact, this creation from Tassie Cameron (Flashpoint) will be simulcasted in North America on June 24 at 9 Pm on ABC (USA) and Global (Canada).
Rookie Blue follows five young rookie police constables from Toronto. The show is centred on Andy McNally (Missy Peregrym), a young woman who feels like a fraud half the time. She comes from a police family and all she’s ever wanted to be is a cop. A born rescuer, Andy is the soul of the close-knit group of five rookie constables plunged into the high stakes world of big city policing and she's trained by a police constable (Ben Bass) who didn't want to train a rookie in the first place.

E1 Entertainment, a distributor and a production studio, announced that the upcoming Canadian TV series Copper will be presented at the Miptv. This event will be held from April 12 to 16, 2010 in Cannes. Moreover, the leading actors of this police drama created by Tassie Cameron - Missy Peregrym and Gregory Smith - are expected to attend Miptv to meet press and affiliates.
What is the Miptv?
From what I understand, Miptv is considered as one of the world's greatest gathering event for the TV industry. It takes place in the city of Cannes in France. During this event, the participants have the opportunity to present their televisual idea through exhibits, pavilions, screenings and even technology showcases.
Of course, this is also an opportunity to get distribution, broadcasting (i.e. selling our program in foreign countries) and even financing (if our TV show is in pre-production) deals. By the way, if you...

TORONTO -- The Canadian Broadcasting Corp. said Wednesday that it has picked up two new homegrown TV series for its 2008-09 season: the psychotherapy drama The Session and The Wild Roses, a portrait of money and greed in Canada's oil fields.
The newest additions replace the soap MVP: The Secret Lives of Hockey Wives, the comedy jPod and the Vancouver-based drama Intelligence, all of which were canceled in early March.
Session, from showrunner Aaron Martin, features a young woman played by Erin Karpluk, who sees into her past life with the help of a mysterious therapist, played by Michael Riley. Temple Street Prods. will produce the series, which was created by Jana Sinyor. BBC Worldwide will handle international distribution.
Roses, toplined by Sarah Power, Steve Byers, Michelle Harisson and Adam MacDonald, was created by Amy Cameron, Tassie Cameron and Miranda de Pencier. Seven24 Films and Northwood Prods. are the lead producers.
