OK Story - Bad Execution...

This is my first foray in to Bill Zebub territory - I also have a copy of Jesus Christ: SERIAL RAPIST laying around, but I've been told it's not that great and that RAPE IS A CIRCLE is a "better" film - if that's the case, I may never get to JC:SR. RIAC has a somewhat engaging storyline, but the "action" is dull and never really pays-off, and the nudity is waist-up and pretty unarousing. The film itself is not as bad as some ultra-low-budget SOV stuff that I've seen, but i didn't find anything particularly notable about it either...

Two girls are hitch-hiking and are picked up by a third woman. They go back to the driver's house for lunch and drinks, and are unexpectedly drugged. At this point we find that the driver is a complete whackadoo who wants to have her way with the two travelers. A lot of "dirty-talk" ensues, and some off-screen torture - which if shown - would have probably made this the coolest film ever. Eventually the two girls escape and plot revenge against their abductor...

I know people who really dig this film - personally it didn't do anything for me. Some of the dialogue was colorful to the point of laughability, and some of the described torture would have been quite interesting had it been shown - but this is definitely a case where "implied" violence didn't work. The acting is pretty poor - although the female abductor did have moments where she seemed truly whacked-out and was almost believable. The problem that I had with RAPE IS A CIRCLE as a whole, is that it neither really worked as a sleazy sexploit film, as the nudity was very tame - or as a horror film, as the violence was never really shown. I don't really get what the point of the film was, and based on this being supposedly one of the Director's better films - I doubt I'll be in a big hurry to watch any of his other material. I'll give Jesus Christ: SERIAL RAPIST a try eventually, but if that doesn't amp-up either the sex or violence, then that will be my last viewing experience with Mr. Zebub...4/10

Girls Talking Dirty

When the main characters first meet, the viewer is subjected to some of the worst dialog and acting ever, and that includes the dialog and acting in porno movies. The acting improves later, but is still marginal at best.

The only appeal this movies has, in my opinion, is that people who enjoy seeing a women talking about brutalizing another will like it. Very little of anything is actually shown; it's only talked about. It might have made a better audio book, but even then, the section where the main characters first meet would have been almost unbearable.

The story, in the hands of another director, could have made a good thriller or exploitation movie. Unfortunately, this director failed to do more than make the viewer imagine the potential.

Okay so I'm sitting here with a re-edited version of this movie on DVD entitled "Catherine's Pain." It should be, "Viewer's Pain." This is a movie entirely void of any enjoyment. If not for the nudity it would be a 45-second youtube video.

My copy is autographed by Bill Zebub himself, no less. If I trash the DVD and rip out the autographed box shell liner, the box will be the only thing valuable here.

The acting reminds me of grade-school plays where the children's' acting is stiff and yet in development, and the teacher is backstage, whispering lines to the children.

If you're planning to watch this for the nudity, there are two females, and between them there is one attractive face and one attractive body-- unfortunately not on the same body.

The plot-- plot?!?! There is no real plot. It's a sexploitation flick. Bill Zebub says that it's "experimental." Experiments are required by nature to state a goal. I'm not sure what the goal is here, if any-- self-indulgent ill-talented trash? There's some excuse for a vague message here about "what goes around comes around." Heck I just accomplished that by typing those words-- and far more successfully than Bill Zebub or the 'actresses.' There is absolutely no redeeming value in this re-edited, re-hashed movie or its variant evolutions. Nothing. Watching a blank DVD would be more fulfilling, honestly.

This is the best and most original torture porn movie I have seen in a long while. There are other much worse torture porn movies that have higher ratings on here. Most likely it is hated just because of the lesbian theme of this movie and it has an emotional story to it.

The main character Kerri's motives are glaring obvious, and sorry but this movie certainly does have a plot. It is clear Kerri is messed up in the head because she she suffered homophobic abuse in the past and was ridiculed and outcast.

It is wonderful to see a torture-porn movie that isn't just pointless chauvinistic torture of women or the 'you rape me I kill you' type of plot. I'm just sorry so many people who have seen this movie cant see this and write it off as garbage.

In Order of Disappearance

I have to admit the closing credits were the most clever ever. That still does not make this a masterpiece. Actually truth be told, this movie was not half bad , was not half good either. That said the movie did explore what comes around goes around , and that evil begets even more evil. This was a story of come uppance for sure but still a silly movie all in all. The 6 was for being entertained at the very least. Actually it was a much better flick than I thought it would be. Just another movie in my cheap horror DVD sequence. You know one of those trashy dvds you click to buy on Amazon to get you to the 25 bucks for free shipping. It truly is worth a watch . This movie can almost fit soft porn genre besides trashy B horror. Only one question remains. Do humans really go around raping each other as much as this film seems to delve into???
