great work

I saw this film a few weeks ago at the Annapolis Film Festival and was very impressed. Rarely do I see short films that can successfully explore their themes within the time constraint. Perhaps one could miss the point of the film if they've never encountered ANY rude or self-serving people in their life, but if you've completed Jr. High I highly doubt that.

Maintaining the awkward adolescent balance in tension between comedy and drama, the film expertly analyzes the terror of being young. In addition to the carefully scripted characters, the cast was phenomenal and the photography was breathtaking. You don't have to be a cinematic genius to see talent here.

So, again... great work.

Yuck !

What a waste of celluloid! If you remember how hateful and ugly junior high school was, pass on this short film. Although I do give some of the actors kudos with what they had to work with, I have to ask the director, why? The story goes absolutely nowhere unless you think that the senseless and hurtful actions of young teen girls is something to admire. If the director is trying to draw parallels with the actual settings of the Civil War and the urban war of young mindless teenagers on a field trip, they have failed miserably. I do hope the director views this posting and can offer some of the motivation for making this heap in the first place. I am certain that if I were a backer for this film, I would insist on my money back. The movie is just a mess and should be avoided at all cost!
