With John Hillcoat's The Road finally out on DVD (and Blu-Ray) this week, I don't think I'll be the only one wondering when we'll see the next film from John Hillcoat, who showed that he's quite a talented director with that film. Well, although we've heard a bit about The Promised Land (which apparently got shut down), our friends at Bloody-Disgusting got a little scoop about another new project he's currently working on. This one is titled The Revenant, which is supposedly a period action/revenge piece that Anonymous Content is producing and that Christian Bale is in talks to star. Ooh, I like the sound of that. Hopefully it's official. B-d got this news in an interview with screenwriter Mark L. Smith (of Séance, Vacancy, The Hole) who also told them a bit about a few other projects in the works, including a remake of the French horror film Martyrs.
