A nifty and informative behind-the-scenes documentary on the making of the low-budget horror film "It Waits"

This nice and concise 21 minute behind-the-scenes documentary offers an illuminating peek at the making of the solid low-budget horror monster feature "It Waits." The folks interviewed for the doc are lovely and charming lead actress Cerina Vincent, creature actor Matt Jordon, enthusiastic director Steven R. Monroe, and veteran solid pro producer/co-writer Stephen Cannell. Among the topics covered herein are the origins of the script (the main character was a man in the first draft), the fun and challenge of working with an African gray parrot, building the beast suit, the arduous 21 day shooting schedule, the use of hand-held camera during certain key sequences to create a better sense of realism, the ordeal of acting in the creature suit, the uncooperative rainy weather, and how Vincent did the bulk of her own stunts. For fans of the movie, this snazzy little doc is well worth checking out.
