Let it be said that Lucy didn't know the sound of her own doorbell.
mark.waltz2 August 2020
Warning: Spoilers
Lucy gets to imitate the sound of a hungry seal as her one lyric to sing, "Auf!", is the only thing that Ricky thinks will suit for boys. Earlier, she tries to sing along to "Shine On Harvest Moon" with Ricky, Fred and Ethel, and finds notes that previously weren't thought to exist. She wants Ricky to sing with her in a show for Ethel's club, and even Ethel is reluctant to allow her to. The highlight of the episode is her rehearsing "Auf Weidersein" with Ricky, upset by her lack of lyrics and the act they come up where Lucy goes out of her way to steal Ricky's Thunder. Hilarious conclusion to an amusing episode that shows how perfect the timing of this cast was.

Great episode that showcases Lucy's musical "talents"

Lucy is an awful singer and it never gets old! I really love that Ethel is center stage making the call instead of it being Lucy all the time-ok, ok, so Lucy forces her to use her to get Ricky to perform but her position still stands. The corny jokes to end the show were very well presented and hilarious, even though they wouldn't have been funny at all had anyone else made them. A gem from season one!

It is fairly good episode probably overlooked by the other classic episodes. The banter with Lucy and Ricky is entertaining because she gets back at him hogging all the jokes.
