Have you ever said you wished something would happen and then it did? I remember one time in college while sitting at a railroad track my roommate blurted out "I wish I'd someone would wreck". All of a sudden, BAM! There was indeed a mild crash. Was he the Devil? No silly, it was just a freak accident. For a few days though I was kind of freaked out and I started to wonder how it would be if could control the fate of others.

Apparently Cindy Baer has thought about the subject also. She has thought enough about it to make a very dark little short film. Destiny sits in front of her camera giving us her life confessional. She is a troubled little girl who thinks morbid thoughts and then BAM those thoughts come true. I loved Cindy Baer in this role for her film. I also loved how Destiny's past curiosity was brought to the screen like we were looking at her brain in a family photo album. The director truly maximized the tools that she had access to. I can't help but think how sure fire of an indie hit this would be if Baer can find the funding to make this a feature length film. The vision and idea are there and I promise you, she could easily extend this idea from a terrific short film into a memorable feature film.

I would personally like to thank Cindy right here for the sound effect of the man falling from the ladder. Every time that sound played I lost it. There are several sound effects used in the this film that are perfect for the stories being told that establish "Morbid Curiosity" as some of the best dark humor I have seen. I loved the idea, loved the way the film was displayed and loved how I laughed more during the very short fives minutes than I have at most American comedies I have seen. I hope more people find access to this film and it becomes what it can be…one of those short films you can laugh at for years, because the humor never gets stale. This film is for us he have that sinister snicker.

You have a MySpace page I'm sure, guess what? So does "Morbid Curiosity". Visit Cindy and add send her a friend invite so you can increase your chances of seeing this extremely fun short film.

Morbid Curiosity is a great film!

I really enjoyed Morbid Curiosity, especially if the work of Christina Rivers. She did a really good job.

I've followed the career of Christina Rivers ever since her work on a student short film called "Delivery." It was a fantastic film about an unhappily married woman who decides to have an affair with the pizza delivery man. Ms. Rivers played the lead in this film and I was surprised at how good it was.

I'd like to discuss the Morbid Curiosity film in more detail, but I don't want to give away too much information. Suffice it to say, you will not be disappointed if get the chance to check it out at a film festival.
